JWE - James Watt Expects are a set of expectations that we have in school to ensure that everybody is the best version of themselves. There are 5 key areas that we focus on. These are: Attendance, Behaviour, Learning, Oracy and Uniform.

Attendance

To attend school every day.

To be in school by 8.45am.

To have everything you need for the day.

Behaviour

To have kind hands and feet

To say kind words and a kind mouth

To be kind to others

To be kind to yourself

To be responsible for your actions

To manage your emotions

To keep school tidy

Learning

To be ready to learn.

To have the equipment you need.

To show good looking and good listening

To ensure appropriate presentation

To show good sitting

To always try your best.

To ask for help.

To complete your homework

Oracy (Talk)

To maintain eye contact with who you are talking to.

To answer questions in full sentences.

To speak slowly and clearly.

To allow people to finish talking before you start speaking.

To be courteous

Uniform

School uniform to be worn – according to policy.

School uniform to be named/labelled.

School PE kit to be worn on PE days.

To be prepared for the day/activity
